Jerry is dead and I don't feel so good myself

Well, by now all the world knows Jerry Falwell is dead. And I've already noticed a lot of blog posts about him. He certainly was a lightening rod. And as I reflect on all the times I've gotten pissed off at something he said, I can't help but wonder who is the Jerry Falwell of my generation? Is there a person out there who can spur people into action whether you're on his side of an arguement or on the opposite side? I don't share his particular brand of theology, however I accept him as a child of God and a brother in Christ. I empathize with his children and pray for the entire Falwell family. Rest in peace Jerry.

Amen.

As for a person of this generation "who can spur people into action,"h no matter which side of the argument you're on, That Guy Who Dwells In The 'Strange World' certainly comes to mind! ;)

Oops...I forgot to proofread before submitting...please overlook the typo in there (that stray 'h' came from somewhere else!).

There are some of those kind; love them or hate them but you just can't ignore them! :)

Both types are dynamic!!

I first read about Jerry Falwell's death at Art's site and then read it in our newspaper the next day. Being an Aussie, it doesn't affect me much and I haven't read many blog posts about him but the one thing that seems to stand out is no matter whether you're a conservative or liberal, it seems he will be missed.

My friend said, "I think Jerry Falwell did alot for the conservatives of our nation...and truly wonder who will take up his mantle. He made some great progress, his tactics wern't always favored but he definitely will be missed."
