Well, as tagged by John, here are 10 things you may not have known about little ole me.
1. I've only had 2 serious boyfriends in my entire life. One of them I was lucky enough to marry.
2. I have had the same best girl friend for 23 years.
3. When I went to kindergarten, the other children called me "Bossy". I guess that was because I didn't really like sharing much, despite the fact I started when I was only 4 yrs old and that I had never been around other children daily. I desperately needed preschool, but alas that was back in the day when folks thought preschool wasn't really necessary.
4. People are envious of my hair. It's long, it's naturally curly, it's thick. I can pretty much do anything with it. I recently wore it curled to church and one of my friends said it looked like frosting on a cake. I'm still not sure if that's a compliment or not.
5. I am the 'baby' of four children and my parents were older when I was born. I always hated it when my mother would pick me up from school and the other kids would ask if she was my grandmother.
6. I play the piano and can pretty much play any piece of music put in front of me, sometimes badly, but hey nobody's perfect. Incidentally, my piano teacher(s) was a member of a fairly famous Southern Gospel music singing group. In fact, I think she's been inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
7. I have four nephews, 3 neices and 1 great nephew. The oldest is 31 and the youngest is not even a year old yet.
8. I balance my check book to the penny everyday. Or every other day. Since I work in a bank, this really isn't a big deal. Doesn't everyone balance their check book to the penny also?
9. This goes along with #6, but I am very musically inclined. I have been singing all my life. I started singing in church with my parents encouragement. I even won a talent show when I was 5.
10. I am missing a "switch" or so my husband says. This is the switch that most folks have that keep them from saying inappropriate things. For me, that switch that tells the tongue not to say what's on your mind is missing. I just can't help it, sometimes the words are on my tongue before I realize it.

Hey, I knew those! I would disagree with #1, though. Well, at least I'd disagree with your use of the word 'serious' :O

I'm with you on #8 - my checkbook is perfectly balanced and I stick to the task like glue if it isn't. And, yes, I update and balance it every day.
Doc would probably agree with #10...I keep forgetting to remember the potential consequences before I say something. Too often I end up saying something I really regret...whether silly, stupid, or inappropriate.
Art - call me silly, but I would sort of expect you to know those answers. You can disagree with #1 all you want, but you really don't know who all I was "serious" with before you came along now do ya? ;)
shionge/vicki - maybe the loss of that "switch" is a "girl thing"?
True, I only 'know' what you've told me;) But even by that standard, I challenge the 'two serious boyfriends' statement. Perhaps you'd like to explain your use of the word 'serious' while I contemplate what the meaning of 'is' is...
